On My Way - to Bylakuppe!

PACKING! Okay, so I've been packing for India, packing my room, packing my room, packing my room, pa...okay I can be done now. It felt like it took much longer than it ever should have. I don't know how I ever fit all those things in my bedroom and how they just kept coming out of the cracks, "here's another book to pack up!" All right, moving on now.  That's done and my two backpacks that I feature in this middle picture are also full, (and I'm hoping weighing in at much less than 50lb), and ready for take off.

The heaviest things I have are my books - featured in that last picture. I have three books for learning Tibetan and five books I need to read for my sociology of development class, I kind of wish I could get rid of said books, but it seems that will be an impossibility so the books are coming with, and pretty much taking up the whole of my small bag.

I'm getting excited. I have some nerves going on about this long travel alone. I've never traveled this far without someone with me, but I'm excited to meet Beau and Lori on the other end and get this adventure going and begin to learn to love the Tibetan people, the Indian people and the many lessons I will learn from both.
